Closing date for all Year 7 applications is 31 October in the year preceding entry to Churchmead School.
There are 120 places available in Year 7. Each subsequent new Year 7 intake will be for 120 students.
If you are a RBWM resident, admissions into Year 7 at Churchmead are administered by the School Admissions Department at RBWM. Full details of this process for a Year 7 place at the start of the academic year are published on the RBWM website: www.rbwm.gov.uk (search School Admissions in the search box to select from the range of information available). Applications should be made online where possible but downloadable forms are available to complete and should be returned direct to RBWM.
If you are a Slough resident, please visit www.slough.gov.uk/admissions for full details on how to apply for a place. For Year 7 admissions, the website is open from 1st September each year.
If you are a resident from another local authority, please refer to the admissions procedure on their website.
If a place is not available at the time of application, you may opt to go on a waiting list.
To go on the waiting list please contact the school on admissions@churchmead.org.
If you wish to appeal, please complete the Appeal Form below and submit to the school on admissions@churchmead.org.
Your appeal will then be heard by an independent panel. The appellants will receive decision letters from the independent panel within 5 school days following the appeal hearing (whenever possible).
In-Year applications to Churchmead (Years 7 to 11) are administered by the school using the In-Year application form below.

Uniform
School uniform is important in helping to create an attitude in which self-discipline, personal respect and a serious approach to study can be expressed. Uniform brings an equal and conscientious atmosphere to the school environment and helps students to develop a sense of loyalty to the school.
Students are required to wear full school uniform at all times whilst at school. Please find below a list of our uniform requirements. Compulsory items are listed in bold.
Boys
- Navy blazer with Churchmead logo
- Navy V neck jumper with Churchmead logo (optional item for winter and cold days)
- Churchmead tie (purchase from Churchmead Office)
- White shirt
- Grey school trousers
- Grey socks
- Black shoes – (No trainers or boots)
- Black or navy coat with NO logo
Girls
- Navy blazer with Churchmead logo

- Grey school skirt with a simple pleat (not pleated all the way round). Plain straight leg grey trousers are optional. (Casual leisure/chino/jeans/lycra trousers are not acceptable)

- Black shoes – plain black, low heeled (No trainers or boots)
- Black or navy coat with NO logo
PE Kit – Boys and Girls
- Navy blue unisex sports polo with white stripe*
- Navy blue unisex rugby style shirt*

Items marked with an asterisk (*) can only be purchased from Goyals. With the exception of the tie, which can be purchased from the school.
- Tops with zips, sweatshirts, cardigans or hooded tops may not be worn at any time. Hats and scarves are permitted during cold weather only.
- Jewellery may not be worn under any circumstances and will be confiscated if visible.
- No extreme hairstyles or colour are permitted. Hair accessories must be plain black or navy.
- Nail varnish/false nails should not be worn in school and there should be no obvious make up.
Your co-operation and support in ensuring that your child is correctly attired for school is much appreciated.
